The Basilica of Santa Maria stands in the atmospheric, old quarter of Matero. The church dates from the 15th Century but has some alterations and additions of the 18th Century. One of the most interesting features inside is the Baroque altar of El Roser created by the sculptors Antoni Riera and Lluis Bonifac. Do not miss the Chapel of El Dosors which is in the Baroque style and has paintings by Antoni Viladomat.
