Cales Coves is an amazing prehistoric site on the coast of Menorca. In the sheltered cove are cliffs with about one hundred caves carved out of the rock. The caves were used as homes and burial chambers. Some were used as far back as the 9th Century BC. Later caves have windows and Roman inscriptions. The site is about one hour`s walk from Son Vitamina, or it can be visited by boat.
