Camproden stands at the confluence of the Ter and Ritort rivers and this little mountain town is known for its ancient bridge Port Nou with its defensive tower. The community developed in the early 10th Century on the founding of the Monestir Sant Pere, and its 12th Century Romanesque church is still standing. The composer Isaac Albeniz was born in the town and the church hosts a music festival during the month of July.
