Capocorb Vell is the most significant remains of the Talaiotic culture on Mallorca. You can wander around the prehistoric village where people lived 3000 years ago. The site has five talaoits, which were two or three storeys high. They were used as both defensive forts and burial chambers. There are also the remains of some dwellings. The settlement was surrounded by high walls over twelve feet high in places. Capocorb Vell lies inland about seven miles from Llucmajor.
