The Casa de las Siete Chimeneas is the oldest building in the plaza. Dating back to the 16th Century, it is named after its seven chimneys and at that time it would have been in the countryside outside the city walls. It is said to be haunted by a woman who was widowed when she was very young. The future Charles 1 of England stayed here in the early 17th Century.
