The Iglesia de Santa Maria de la Encarnacion dates from the early 17th Century. The church has a striking red stone doorway in the Baroque style and inside are three naves. There is an image of San Bernabe, the patron saint of Marbella, on the high altar. The church was restored after the Civil War and a splendid new organ was installed in the 1970s.
