The Church of San Cayetano was founded by Theatines in the 17th Century. They were clerics who believed in setting a good example of behaviour. The basic plan for the church is thought to have been by Marco Lopez. Churriguera designed the elaborate facade and Ribero was also involved. Much of the church was destroyed during the Civil War, but it has been rebuilt. The patron saint`s day is celebrated in August.
