The Church of San Francisco is built of granite and dates from the 14th Century. It stands on high ground and nearby are gardens and fountains. The church has a Gothic facade and stained glass as well as a rose windoew. Inside, the church has a timber roof and carved tombs. In front of the altar is the 13th Century tomb of Admiral Payo Gomez Chamiro who was also a poet.
