The Iglesia de Santa Maria la Madre was built in the 18th Century on the site of an earlier church. It has a narrow Baroque facade with marble columns and bell towers on both sides. The centre of the facade has beautiful, intricate carvings. The church can be approached by a flight of steps from the main square, which is surrounded by splendid old buildings with arches and balconies.
