The Church of the Assumption is an outstanding 16th Century Gothic church that was remodeled in the 18th Century in the Baroque style. In the presbytery is a splendid carved 16th Century altarpiece. The most outstanding part of the church is the sacristy. It is the work of Andalucian artist Francisco Javier Pedrajas. The sacristy has a windowed dome, white walls and ceiling with lavish sculptures and plaster scrolls, giving a delicate, magical effect.
