The Iglesia de Los Martires was founded by the Christian Monarchs in the late 15th Century, and it was dedicated to the martyrs of Malaga. The church has an impressive Mudejar tower which dates from a later period. The inside of the church is in the Baroque style. Of special interest is a sculpture of Christ praying on the Mount of Olives. It is the work of Francisco Ortiz.
