Es Baluard is an art museum housed inside a restored 16th Century bastion that protected the south-west corner of the city wall. The collection of modern art includes the work of artists Picasso, Joan Miro, Nicolas de Stael, Miquel Barcelo and Magritte. There are also temporary exhibitions. Good views of the bay with its jetties can be enjoyed from the sculpture terrace and from the walls. Nearby is a park with lawns, flowerbeds, trees and fountains.
