A market is held in Ferreries on Saturday mornings. Here you can buy the produce of local farmers such as fruit, vegetables, cheese and honey. There are also craft stalls and occasional folk dancing displays. The 18th Century church of San Bartomeu stands in the square and opposite is the town hall. Located at 470 feet above sea level, Ferreries is the highest town in Menorca and it is known for the manufacture of shoes.
