The Ferrocarril Turistico-Minero is a train ride of about 14 miles which takes you through the eerie copper mining landscape near Minas de Riotinto. The carriages were used to transport the workers of the mining company in the early 20th Century. They are usually pulled by diesel locomotives but sometimes steam engines are used. The station is located near the railway workshops and it is essential to book in advance.
