The Fine Arts Museum of Asturias is housed in ancient palaces in the old town. The collection of art ranges from the Middle Ages to the present day. There are works by El Greco, Ribera, Zurburan, Goya, Murillo and Picasso. There is a good selection of work by Asturian artists and a sculpture collection. One section is devoted to art of the 19th and 20th Centuries and there are examples of contemporary Spanish art.
