The Casa Museo del Inca Garcilaso is where the Peruvian writer Garcilaso lived for thirty years in the late 16th Century. Born in 1539, he was the son of a Spanish nobleman and an Inca princess. He wrote a large amount about the Inca civilization and this museum is dedicated to him. The museum`s rooms reflect this historical period and there is a coat of arms above the door.
