The La Taconera Gardens comprise a French style type of park that was created in the early 19th Century. It is the oldest park in Pamplona. The park has many types of trees nd there is an enclosure with deer, goats, rabbits, ducks, swans and peacocks. One of the sculptures in the park is of the tenor Julian Gayarre. There is a cafe in the gardens. A Baroque gateway marks the entrance to the park .
