The Santuario de la Virgen de Gracia was once a nineth Century mosque. This area of the Sierra de Archidona became under Moorish rule in AD756 when settlements were built by Emir Abd Al-Rahman. After the Reconquest in the 15th Century the mosque was made into a Christian church. Inside are three Visigothic arches from before Islamic times. The fiesta of the Virgen de la Gracia, the patron saint, is on the 14 August.
