Malaga Cathedral was begun in the early 16th Century and it is a mixture of styles. Although building spanned three centuries, its south tower was never completed, hence the local nickname La Manquita. The cathedral has a baroque facade and inside are choir stalls with carvings by Pedro de Mena. Also of interest are the marble pulpits, baroque organ and side chapels. There is a Gothic retable in the ambulatory.
