Mao Harbour is three miles long and it is the longest natural harbour in the Mediterranean. The quayside lies below the town centre and here are bars and restaurants as well as Mao`s ferry terminal, marina and a departure point for one hour boat trips of the port. The trips offer views of three islets in the harbour that have been used for quarantine, including Illa del Rei where King Alfonso 111 landed in 1287. Interesting buildings line both sides of the port.
