The Ministerio de Agricultura is a magnificent building that originally housed the Ministry of Development. Designed by the architect Ricardo Velazquez Bosco, it was built in the mid 19th Century. This splendid structure is in the Neo-classical and Romantic style with allegorical sculptures and decorative tiles. Above the Corinthian columns is the Spanish coat of arms and on either side of sculptures representing Glory are bronze statues of Pegasus.
