Moguer Castle started as a tower in Roman times and later became a stronghold of the Almohads. It was extended by the Christian Monarchs and Moguer became an important town. Within the ruined castle`s walls is the tourist office and here you will find exhibitions about the history of Moguer, including its connections with the discovery of America as well as the local agricultural industry and the production of wine.
