Mojacar Playa has a long, sandy beach with a beach front well supplied with restaurants, bars and shops. There are small, secluded coves to the south and a number of naturist beaches. Water sports are popular here and it is possible to hire windsurfing equipment, and there are facilities for water-skiing, sailing and canoeing. Along the coast is the Torre del Macenas, an 18th Century defensive tower.
