The Monasterio de La Oliva was built by Cistercian monks in the 12th Century. Mainly a mixture of Romanesque and Gothic styles, the simple, large church has a 17th Century tower and rose windows. There is a peaceful cloister. The monastery was restored in the early 20th Century and it is now inhabited by community of Cistercian monks who farm and make wine.
