The Monastery of Oseira is a grand building of grey stone standing in a wooded valley near Oseira. It has a Baroque facade dating from the early 18th Century and on its doorway is a statue of the Virgin portrayed as a nurse with St Bernard kneeling beside her. The church dates from the 12th Century and the chapterhouse is quite splendid.
