This open air museum recreates a settlement of the Guanche people who were living on Gran Canaria at the time of the Spanish invaders. On the hillside are life-size figures illustrating their everyday tasks and ceremonies. Labelling is in Spanish, English and German and the social hierarchy, crafts and beliefs of the Guanche people are explained. They lived in groups and worked with wood and stone.
