In the Naval Museum is a large collection of scale models of ships, and many are from the period that the ships themselves were built. The museum is dedicated to the history of the Spanish Navy, and other objects on display are figureheads, globes, sextants, compasses, weapons, uniforms, portraits of sailors, paintings of naval battles and navigation charts. One of the most interesting exhibits is a map drawn in 1500 on which the American continent is said to feature for the first time.
