This small museum is housed in the former studio and home of the Valencian Impressionist painter Joaquin Sorolla, who died in 1923. The artist is well known for his beach scenes, treatment of light and depictions of the characteristics of people from different parts of Spain. On display are many of his paintings, and visitors can see his studio and other rooms where the family lived. There is also a large collection of Spanish ceramics.
