The Museo de San Isidro is where St Isidro, Madrid`s patron saint, is reputed to have lived until he died. It is on the site of the Counts of Paredes palace, and is the location of St Isidro`s miracle well. The museum houses an exhibition about the archaeology of Madrid from the city`s prehistory to the 16th Century. There is also a Renaissance patio and an unusual archaeological botanical garden.
