Olvera is an olive growing town and in the 1920s it was on the proposed route of a light railway line between Almargen and Jerez de la Frontera. Only the section between Olvera and Puerto Serrano was built and this is now a delightful route for walkers and cyclists. This 36km trail passes through lovely countryside and has six viaducts and over twenty tunnels. It is advisable to carry a torch, water and food.
