The Ourense Cathedral Museum is situated in the Gothic cloister of the cathedral. The collection contains fine pieces of art. One of the highlights is the San Rosendo Treasure which belonged to the Monastery of Celanova. It consists of eight 10th Century chess pieces made from rock crystal. Another important piece of art is the Precious Cross by Enrique de Arce. It was given by the Counts of Benavente. Other items on display include sculpture and religous jewellery.
