The Parc de la Mar lies below the cathedral and is a popular place for relaxation. A walkway along the top of the city walls runs through the park and there is an artificial lake in which the cathedral is reflected. Designed by Joan Miro and Josep Lluis Sert in the 1960s, the park is on several levels with palm trees. Another highlight is the mural by Joan Miro.
