Passeig de la Rambla is known for its big flower market which takes place under its shade giving plane trees. At the lower end of the avenue are two statues of Roman emperors erected in 1937 in honour of Mussolini`s Italy. Where the main street joins Passeig de la Rambla is the Teatre Principal, a venue for classical music, ballet and opera. Nearby is the Museum of Spanish Contemporay Art.
