Peniscola is known for its beaches and the favourite with families is the Sur Beach near the fishing port. It is composed of fine, golden sand and nearby are restaurants. The Norte beach is longer, being two miles long, and it is in a beautiful location with a castle in the background. This is a Blue Flag beach with a Red Cross point and access for those with reduced mobility. It has a children`s playground.
