The Platja de Formentor is a lovely, long sheltered beach on the Formentor Peninsula. Backed by pines, and with beautiful views of mountains on the other side of the bay, it is a few minutes walk from a car park on the main road. It can also be reached by bus or ferry from Port de Pollenca. At one end is the Hotel Formentor where rich and famous people have stayed since it opened in the late 1920s.
