Playa de los Pocillos is a vast, sandy beach and it is considered one of the best beaches on Lanzarote Island. Because of its gentle incline, it is suitable for children. The beach is backed with shops and restaurants. The beach is in a sheltered postion and attracts those new to windsurfing. Equipment is available for hire. To the east is Playa de Matagorda, a small quiet beach also popular with windsurfers.
