The Plaza del Castillo is in the old quarter of Pamplona and it is surrounded by busy, narrow streets. This attractive, pedestrianised square was once the site of bullfights, battles, tournaments and parades. It is now a popular place to meet friends, relax on a bench, have a drink or take refreshments at one of the many cafes. There is a bandstand. To the east of the square is the Estafeta, where the bulls run during Los Sanfermines.
