The Praza de Ferreria is a large, atmospheric, busy square in the heart of the old quarter of Pontevedra. Along one side are columned arcades and there are many cafes and bars. It is a popular meeting place. Nearby is the pilgrim`s church of Santuario de la Peregrina, and also the larger church of San Francisco. The square is on different levels and it is an ideal place from which to take photographs.
