The village of Roncal in the Pyrenees is famous for its cheese made of sheep`s milk. The village has picturesque houses with balconies. Gayarre, an opera singer, was born here in the 19th Century and his ornate tomb can be seen in the village cemetery. The Valle de Roncal is known for its wildlife which includes chamois, boar and many species of birds such as capercaillie and birds of prey.
