Rosalia de Castro was a poet and novelist who was born in Santiago de Compostela but spent her childhood in Padron. The museum is the house where she died in 1855. She used the Galician language to express her ideas and feelings and her work has inspired many Spanish authors. In the museum you can see many photos of the writer as well as those of her relatives and friends. On display are some of her personal belongings, and there are objects from the period when she lived.
