The Iglesia de Santa Maria La Coronada is a beautiful church that was built on the site of a mosque. The church retains the mosque`s courtyard whilst the bell tower was once a minaret. Inside the Gothic interior is an enormous retablo dating from the 16th Century with panels depicting the life of Christ. These are the work of Bautista Vasquez and Melchor Turin. There is also a sculpture of Christ by Roldan.
