The Sierra de Guadarrama is a beautiful mountain area with pine covered hills and it is a popular area for walking, mountain biking, horse riding and skiing. Navacerrada is the starting point for walks to the mountain tops and it is a skiing area. Cercedilla is another village in the sierra and it is a starting point for a walk along an ancient Roman road.
