The Sugar Cane Interpretation Centre is devoted to the sugar cane as a botanical species and examines the plant`s history from medieval times. The sugar cane comes from Asia and it was brought to the Granada coast by the Arabs. Visitors can learn about the different varities of the sugar cane, its ecosystem and cultivation as well as the plant`s requirements. The museum also holds temporary exhibitions.
