The Jardines de Vicenti are an ideal place to relax after visiting the museums and churches of Pontevedra. The gardens have walkways and many benches. There is a statue to Rosalia de Castro, a 19th Century poet and novelist. Born in Santiago, she wrote in the Galician language and is known especially for her inspiring poems and songs. Her work has been translated into other languages.
