At the Xoriguer Gin Distillery is a showroom where you can sample gin, other spirits and liquers. Gin was brought to Menorca in the late 18th Century by British sailors and a local man name Belton discovered the recipe and learnt to make gin. Samples at the distillery include a wide range of liquers including the sweet hierbas made from camomile. Another is calent made with aniseed, saffron and cinnamon.
