Most of the exhibits in the well presented Archaeological Museum are from the Roman period, and all are from Tarragona and its surroundings. There is a fine collection of Roman mosaics and not to be missed is the Head of Medusa with its remarkable stare. Another item is the Fish Mosaic known for its depictions of many sea creatures. The museum has a good collection of well preserved funerary sculptures, pottery, ceramics, glass and tools.
