As Catedrais is a sandy beach with many caves and arches that are delightful to walk through. Be sure to consult a tide timetable so that you can visit when the tide is low. The beach is about one mile long and has services such as showers and a red cross point. It is also a good place for birdwatching with the possibility of seeing bar-tailed godwit, turnstones and plovers.
