The Parque Natural de la Bahia de Cadiz is an enormous reserve consisting of estuaries, lagoons, beaches, dunes and cliffs. There is a large range of reptiles and birds and it is known for its shrimps, prawns and fish such as sole and mullet. The reserve contains many salt flats and areas of bulrushes as well as forests of pinion pine. Around the reserve are the towns of San Fernando, Puerto Real and Chiciana de la Frontera.
