Berlango de Duero is an attractive village with a ruined castle which started as a Moorish fortress and it was later modified in the 13th and 14th centuruies. Below the fortress stands the Colegiate de Sant Maria del Mercado, a late Gothic church with star vaulting. Near the Plaza Mayor are houses in the Renaissance style whilst outside the village is La Picota, the Pillar of Justice, where criminals were tied up.
