Backed by pine covered hills, Cala Salada has a beautiful beach composed of sand and a rocky shelf. There is a restaurant and the cove can be reached by footpath or road from Sant Antoni de Portmany. A footpath leads to the nearby quiet beach of Cala Saldeta. Inland, a track leaving the main road goes to Cova des Vi, a cave displaying prehistoric rock art. It is also known as Cova de les Fontanelles because of a spring that used to be near the cave.
